I visited the Whittington Hospital at a difficult time in my life - I was having a miscarriage and I can truly say the hospital and staff exceeded my expectations. I was able to self refer to the early pregnancy unit meaning I could avoid going to see my GP or sit in A&E. Every staff member that I encountered was kind and considerate. I got lost on my way to the unit and a very friendly Matron (his badge was clearly on display) stopped, without me asking, to try and help and then another member of staff also stopped to help when he wasn't sure of the directions. In the early pregnancy unit I saw a nurse who was so comforting and extremely competent at a very difficult time. She really went out of her way to make sure I had the best care and follow up that was tailored to me. I would highly recommend this unit!
