"Waiting for neurosurgeon appointment"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have been waiting for neurosurgeon appointment since middle of December and I have now received it for Mid July 2019

I have a slipped disc in my neck couldn't make an appointment  so was told to phone early January and got told appointments were allocated until end of may and then 14 before me.   The neurosurgeon is only in Northampton General Hospital 2 days a week why does such a big hospital not have it's own neurosurgeon.   Where is the 18 week  promise from the government in this instant.
