"The Visitors Centre is a godsend!"

Having somewhere to stay that is close by the hospital and doesn't cost a fortune is a godsend to us.  It makes our visits so much easier and affordable.

We have a six hour plus round trip to get to Rampton and back home, that combined with a two hour visit etc makes for a very tiring , long and stressful day without the opportunity of stopping overnight.

the centre has also provided us with the care and support of staff ready to offer a listening ear when our visits have been difficult etc.

Having visited many hospitals, this is the first time we have been offered any facilities whatsoever.  As carers we are more than delighted with all that you provide for us.  Long may it continue!!  Thankyou one and all.

Thank you for this encouraging feedback. It was kind of you to write in this way. It's helpful for us and our commissioners to know that the service is worthwhile. I'm struck by how far many of our carers have to travel to get to Rampton. Your words also serve as a reminder that visits themselves can be very demanding.

Thank you for your warm and postive comments about your overnight stay in the Visitor Centre at Rampton Hospital, we aim to provide a 'home form home ' environment and caring staff to support families and friends who travel to see their loved ones. We also offer carer events on a quartely basis to enhance the support network for carers. Please Liaise with the Family Support Team who can provide you with details of these events.
