I had seen my GP in April as I was concerned about a persistent catch in my throat, leading to coughing in the morning. She referred me to the ENT consultant at High Wycombe Hospital; she said I would be seen within a fortnight. In fact, the hospital rang me two days later and offered me an appointment for in just another two days. I saw the ENT consultant on this day. He examined me thoroughly and was able to reassure me that there was nothing to worry about 'You haven't got cancer and there is nothing in your throat that shouldn't be there'. He gave me some advice, in particular on keeping myself well hydrated. Throughout the consultation Mr Snelling was kind, attentive, looked me in the eye, explained what he was about to do and why and then explained clearly what he had (and had not) found.
This was excellent, expert and prompt NHS care and reassured me and my wife that there was nothing amiss. Thank you very much.
