"My Son"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a service user),

He collapsed after a vaso vagel syncope incident, aged 13,  and was swiftely admitted to the Rainforest Ward at Lincoln County Hospital. When we arrived at the A&E dept there were already 8 ambulances outside with patients on trolleys inside in the corridor queuing for triage, but it was only 10 mins of waiting in the queue before they brought Oli forward and as soon as a bed became available he was admitted onto the Paediatric ward Rainforest.

I was worried about the experience as i know Lincoln appears to be struggling to cope with the capacity at the moment, but once on the ward the care was excellent. The medical staff appeared to have to rely on other centres of excellence around the uk, e.g. Glenfield, but it is obviously a viable solution as his care was fantastic and they were so thorough

Dear ZoeH

Many thanks for sharing your story with us about your recent stay on our ward.

It sounds like you had a very worrying time so its lovely to hear that you were well looked after and seen very quickly.

We are pleased to hear that Oli's feeling much better, he sounds very brave.

We look forward to sharing your feedback with the rest of the team.

Kind regards

Sharon and Laura.
