"Haemorrhoid skin tags"

About: Park Hospital

Disappointed. I was admitted for day surgery to have haemorrhoid skin tags removed which have been causing problems for years and nearly four weeks after the operation I am still in pain. I now have Haemorrhoids and I bleed every time I pass a motion. My situation is now worst than it was pre op.I was discharged from the unit without painkillers or laxative which I was told at my assessment I would have. I mentioned this to the nurse when she said I could go home but was told I hadn't been written up for anything and to take paracetamol. Having the operation at approximately 8am I was surprised to be discharged at 11.30am. My GP had to prescribe necessary medications to get me through an extremely painful time and has contacted the hospital about a follow-up appointment but I have heard nothing. The nurse that looked after me on the day was lovely but the whole experience is not something I would recommend or go through again.
