"I was well looked after"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care Crosshouse Hospital / Xrays & Scans

(as a service user),

When I arrived at A& E I was well looked after. Very happy with communication with my family was excellent. When I arrived in the acute stroke ward they looked after me and explained at every point  what they were doing. They put a buzzer on my wrist so as to alert them if I needed instant attention. So for the 4 days I have been here, I have been well looked after by all the staff, Drs, nurses, speech therapist and x-ray group and the porters, also the cleaners. And especially nurse Kevin, who showed great patience when I was choosing my menu.

Dear lovedn66,

Thanks very much for your feedback on care opinion. It is great to hear of your experience and the care you received. It is such a frightening time and it is good to hear that you found the nurse call system helpful. This is a relatively new system within the unit allowing patients to call for assistance from anywhere within the ward.

The team will be delighted to read your comments. It is so important at what is a difficult time that staff show patience and I am glad this was your experience. Kevin will very much appreciate your comments.

I hope you are now recovering well.

Best wishes,

Christine
