"Regarding the condescending and rude attitude of my doctor"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham / General medicine

(as the patient),

For reasons beyond my understanding, for a period of 1-1.5 weeks I was under the care of the same Dr, who, no matter how much I've been respectful and polite, has been extremely rude, condescending and never listening to a word I was saying.

It seems to me like this Dr is living in their own bubble, instead of listening to a single complaint about my physical health they seem more interested in talking to younger doctors attending to ward-rounds, and somehow this Dr is deciding the care and treatment to be applied by talking to others rather than talking to me as a patient.

They were always raising their voice to suppress whenever I wanted to add a comment or ask a simple question, and approaching to me with as if I am a 2nd class citizen or lower-human, giving me a seriously frustrating and depressing hospital experience, which is in it self a seriously stressful period without this unbearable attitude to begin with.

On the 10th day or so of my time in the ward, I had to attend a really important doctors appointment outside of the QEBH, which the kind and seriously caring nurses in the ward allowed me a 4 hours time to go and comeback at when my Dr said Please return back ,otherwise you'll be the 4th patient I'd lose this way.

Now this sentence already tells a feedback in itself, no wonder patients are leaving and not returning. The care, attitude against other human beings whether patients or not should not be like this. Thank you for reading my feedback,

Kind Regards
