"My personal experience of Rotterham Hospital 2019."

About: Rotherham Hospital / Cardiology

On Monday 1st April 2019, I travelled from my place of work on Merseyside to attend a work event planned for Tuesday 2nd, having booked in my hotel later in the evening i become unwell. I was transferred from hotel by ambulance to Rotterham hospital A&E, on arrival I was greeted by friendly staff, their professionalism quickly idenifed that I has suffered a mild heart attack. I was then transferred to the Acute Medical Unit, where again I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff, the staff could not of done any more to resure me and make me as comfortable as possible. Having quickly identifed the source of problem, i was transferred to the Coronary Care Unit for treatment, where once again I was greeted by a friendly, helpful, caring medical team. The staff resured me even clearly identifing that I was many miles from home, greeting my wife who had travelled from Merseyside on arrival and assisting with the locating of nearby accommedation. I underwent a series of tests and assessments over the next few days, with the results and medical treatment required clearly communicated to me. The treatment and care I received clearly aided my recovery and my early discharge from Hospital. The care, medical treatment, support and guidance I received was outstanding, I will be entirely grateful to all the staff of A&E, AMU, CCU who treated me from the 2nd April to my discharge on the 5th April. The staff I encountered thoughout are without doubt a credit to Rotterham Hospital, their profession and the NHS.
