"I was treated swiftly, courteously and kindly"

About: Altrincham Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP for an X-ray to my shoulder and turned up without a scheduled appointment, expecting a long wait. I was seen within 10mins. The check in was fast and efficient and I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist.

The radiographer was patient and understanding, and did her best to minimise the discomfort I experienced by getting my shoulder into the correct positions for the x-ray to be taken.  

I felt cared for and that I was treated swiftly, courteously and kindly by all the NHS staff I met during my treatment. Even the short waiting time was pleasant and comfortable, in an environment that was spotless and welcoming. What a great experience.

It was reassuring to read that you thought you were treated swiftly, courteously and kindly and that the environment was spotless and welcoming. We are also pleased to read that the check in was fast, efficient, that the receptionist greeted you with a smile, and the radiographer was patient and understanding to ensure you suffered no discomfort. I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to the Head of Nursing who will share this with the teams involved for their reflection and recognition.
