"Fitzwilliam Ward."

About: Rotherham Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Taken into Rotherham Hospital by Ambulance as I was unable to walk due to pain in left hip.

Admitted to Fitzwilliam Ward after having an xray on Friday morning. Was made to feel welcome by all the staff despite the tremendous workload they seemed to have, everyone found the time for a chat or a joke which made me feel a lot better as I was in tremendous pain at the time.

To cut a long story short I spent 14 days on Fitzwilliam and 4 days on their sister ward Keppel and I havnt got a bad word to say about anything,I could mention a few names but there were so many friendly faces I couldn't possibly remember them all.

It turned out I had an infection in my hip which needed 2 different I.V. antibiotics for over a week, then physio.I am back tomorrow for a follow up appointment with a consultant but will make sure I show my appreciation to the staff with a chocolatey gift.
