"My Mum passed away and we couldn't ask for better care"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Medicine (wards 8, 10, 11, 14, 18 & 27) Royal Alexandra Hospital / Palliative care

(as a relative),

My Mum passed away tonight and we couldn't ask for better care of her, my Dad, brother and me. Nurses, Doctors and auxiliaries were all fantastic, very caring and kind. Ward 10 and HDU let us stay day and night which was very much appreciated. Thank you. xXx

Dear pinkteddy

Thank you very much for your kind feedback particularly at such a sad time for you and your family.

The staff work hard to ensure the care they provide to patient's and their familiy is of a high standard and hearing feedback like this at such a sensitive and important time will be greatly received by the staff involved which I will share with them.

Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family on behalf of the nurses and doctors who cared for your mum.

Best wishes

Jacqueline

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to share your experience. I would like to offer my sincere sympathy to you and your family at this time of devastating loss. I can only imagine how difficult the latter hours of your Mum's life must have been for you all but it was very reassuring to hear that you were happy with the care your Mum received. It was also heartening to learn that the family felt supported by staff and given the opportunity to spend precious time together.

I have shared your kind comments with the staff involved who were truly grateful to receive them. It was very encouraging for them to know that they have been of help to you all at such a difficult time in your lives.

With all best wishes,

Linda
