My father has recently(5 months or so) been having chest pain and headaches when trying to do any physical activity. So he was referred for an angioplasty, by GP but this was not successful. So the consultant in there referal said he needs a CT scan to check the arteries before taking futher action and you should be contacted by hospital after two or three weeks. We are still waiting, coming to 5 weeks now. His situation is getting worse he feels more tired and restless and he went to see GP for urgent referal. He has been told by GP surgery he is on standard waiting list and has to wait nothing more can done. My father feels very angery considering he needs the NHS hospital services the most now he is being rejected urgent treatment for his symptoms. Also myself, my father and the rest of the family we are being let down considering we campaiged, signed the petition, attended event to save the hospital. Please investigate the reasons for delay in CT Scans. It should not be taking this long, we appreciate the hospital has hundreds of patients to deal with.
