My little boy was born recently.
Because of my age and heart condition the labour was induced. I was admitted to the Ward 17 at Borders General Hospital on a Friday morning and the little one was born the Saturday evening.
I was very positive about giving birth although had heard so many negative comments about being pregnant and then giving birth.
Decided not to listen and go with my own plan and happy thoughts.
My labour ended up in C-section and yes the finish wasn’t something I had planned but if the little one is in distress and that’s the only option for you and your child the decision was quick.
However, it’s not about me but about all wonderful people - midwives , care assistants, doctors that helped me go through everything.
Nothing was much of a bother and I was very vulnerable at the end of labour and simply exhausted.
They couldn’t do more for me and I will be forever grateful appreciative for all the hard work and commitment.
Ward 17 and Labour Ward at Borders General Hospital you are doing a fantastic job. I felt secure and most importantly comfortable. I couldn’t thank you enough.
"I will be forever grateful"
