After fourteen days physiotherapy, pain killers, support stockings, all stretching exercises, requested an urgent referral to the hospital for an extremely painful calf, thigh and groin muscles. appointment offered after two days to assess the problem. Explained that I am unable to walk more than 5-6 steps without a high possibility of falling down, unable to climb stairs so fofa has been a bed. AS explained this is a reoccurring problem every three or so years and always had a steroid injection to resolve the problem. Just explained that I had a fall on the seventh step from living room to kitchen and there is likely chance of the same happening in this weather for 10minute consultation. Requested alternate plan.
HOME VISIT REFUSED.
Just arranging walking frame and wheelchair----likely to cost over 80.00 pounds-- claim none of their concern.
Incidentally, I am retired 79-year-old Pharmacist experienced in both retail and hospital pharmacy. They advertise themselves as caring upcoming surgery offering home visit.
