"I felt being treated as an imposter"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / Neurosurgery

I have long term neck and back pain with weakness in my arms/legs and had 2 surgeries with no relief from my initial symptoms . Not even a single time I have been reviewed by a consultant face to face. All I get is a nurse review to listen to my symptoms who says to wait , goes and checks with a consultant next door and conveys the message. I feel this process makes me being treated with no respect. The information I get back is confusing. I have no options to ask questions. These specialist nurses treats me like an imposter and burden to their services. They are very fixed on discharges rather than completing treatments . I feel the outpatient services are appalling. The time having to wait for a review appointment is agonising for someone living in constant pain and agony.

I don’t recommend this department to anyone.
