I had a tvt implant in 2014 att the QA hospital Portsmouth, over the next 3 years I slowly began a decline in health and all my symptoms were put down to the menopause.
In Jan 2017 at work I suffered a sudden searing pain in my groin and could not put my foot to the floor ( this was the last work I have done since).
At first they said it was a slipped disc , but after 2 months and nothing improving I had a private MRI on spine which didn't concur the original diagnosis since then nobody has taken me seriously and the decline only worsened to almost permanently bed ridden to many prescribed drugs which do not work and no life at all.
In July 2018 I joined a tvt mesh group as my symptoms seemed familiar and within weeks knew my mesh was the culprit.
It had eroded through vagina and cut into my groin causing severe nerve pain.
Nov I had removal with a mesh expert again privately but for me the damage is done I am so unhappy and my quality of life is awful .Feb I had to have a double inguinal hernia OP due to previous operation bought on from technic.
I have come in the past to QA for help on this and been ignored no help when I've been in agony. The mesh expert I saw suggested pelvic physio to my doctor but that's ignored.
Where do I go now when I need help I have no support unless privately which I can no longer afford .
Feeling very alone and desperate.
