"Visit to Neuroradiology Department 27/03/19 at..."

About: The James Cook University Hospital / Neurosurgery

All patients were totally confused on arrival as there was no patient communication. People with extreme problems were sat for 2 hours plus with zero updates as to what was happening down to the miserable and rude receptionist who looked like she did not want to be there and had as little patient contact as possible. The receptionist was in a office behind reception and came out as little as possible to see if there was any new arrivals. Every single person in that waiting room made a comment about this unprofessional individual. I work for the NHS myself and it takes nothing to smile and be pleasant, she was the first person patients came in contact with and by the way people are nervous and apprehensive about the procedure they are having a pleasant manor and a smile would go a long way. This receptionist needs some serious training on communication asap.
