"Waiting for prescriptions that should have been ready"

About: The Village Green Surgery

(as the patient),

For the third month in a row now my prescription has been ordered over the phone & was told that they'd be ready 48 hours later.

The first time I had to wait 20 minutes when I came to collect it as it hadn't been signed by a doctor, the second time last month it happened again and I stood for 20 mins or so while someone went upstairs to get it signed, now after ringing for my prescription LAST Thursday I was told that the prescription would be ready after 2pm on the Tuesday of this week, my husband went down to collect the tablets today & the same thing has happened again. The prescription hadn't been signed by a doctor, and he has been at the practice half and hour missed a work meeting to wait while the staff figure out why its not there, if I was meant to collect it Tuesday gone how can it not of been signed for and ready to collect over a week after ordering it.

I don't know what the issue is but my husband has stood and waited at the practice and like me is very frustrated, I pay for prescriptions and you would like to think the service provided was in running order but clearly it isn't, we both work full time and when you expect just to come down & collect the prescriptions not stand for half an hour while the staff go back & forth to figure out while its not, I will be going elsewhere if this doesn't change as a simple thing like picking up your tablets shouldn't take half an hour
