What I liked

There was obviously a staff shortage due to illness. I was impressed by the way the ward matron "mucked in" to help with nursing duties.

The staff were all friendly and very professional.

I had a private room.

When I have phoned for advice subsequent to being discharged, I have had clear, professional advice given in a friendly manner.

What could be improved

Physiotherapist, when they visited, did not seem to have beeen fully briefed on my status or procedure.

Thank you for providing us with your kind comments regarding your stay at Lymington New Forest Hospital. I will however speak with the Ward Managers to ensure that the information provided to the community teams is both comprehensive and clear so that any medical professionals attending to the patients in the community are fully informed.
