"No support, false assurances, highly disappointing"

About: Hounslow Recovery Team East

The only point of help we currently have for a family member and there's no point even calling it help. My family member clearly needs help and we have been contacting the HRTE and complaining for two years because said family member has had no counselling since their counsellor abruptly left. My parents have visited several times, called, written letters, written emails but all we get is fake reassurances that something is going to be done about the situation. Nothing ever gets done save random appointments months apart while the situation we have gets from bad to worse. It's no wonder this places has horrendous ratings from patients themselves they do nothing for them! How they are still standing is a mystery. Frustrating, hard to get a hold of, passed around to different people without getting any clarification on a situation while everyone suffers, how is that helping anyone? Considering mental health is a massive issue how is it that the team assigned to helping these patients is failing so spectacularly? We feel absolutely let down by this establishment and can't express how helpless we feel with the lack of support from this team.

Dear 'nhs uk'

Thank you so much for taking the time to us about your experiences at Hounslow Recovery Team East. We value your opinion and we always strive to ensure that our service users and their loved ones have a good experience of our services.

I am sorry to hear that your family member has not received counselling since the last therapist left in spite of your numerous attempts to inform us by various means that your family member requires our support.

Can I please ask you to contact me on 0208 483 2020 or 02028 483 1859 to enable me to look into the issues you raised. I am also happy to arrange a meeting at our Hounslow Recovery team east site if that is convenient for you?

In the meantime, I will share your complaint with the whole team at our clinical meeting next week as we always try our best to learn from feedback about the services we provide.

Once again, thank you very much for contacting us and please let me know if you would like to discuss this matter further or if you have any additional queries.
