"Breast Screening and Car Park"

About: Norwich Community Hospital

My wife said she was very well treated by staff at screening unit who were understanding of her difficulty getting into correct position. A very pleasant experience.

I have seen, however, the comments about the administration of the car park and wish to add my comments. We drove in to a quite full car park and were busy looking for a space which we found. We walked diagonally across towards the breast screening unit. It was not until we returned to the car that we noticed the pay machines nor any signs that it was not a free park. The signs are very small. Experience with other machines and no clear instructions led me to insert only the numbers of my registration which were not recognised. I input the full reg. no. and was charged accordingly, but ticket shows original two digit entry followed by correct reg.. Will I now receive a demand for further payment as reported by others? Is one supposed to pay on entry? BUT one is allowed a free period for a short visit. The visit may be longer than anticipated.
