"Treatment of my son"

About: St Mary's Surgery

My son is a recovering heroin addict and alcoholic. He has recently started having episodes where he cannot speak or walk, this has resulted in him being severely bruised. I made an emergency appointment for him and accompanied him to see the doctor. They advised him to have a blood test which he did and the results were given to him over the phone that he had an abnormality in his blood. The doctor told him that they would ring his support worker . This was not done. As I am very concerned about this I encouraged my son to make another emergency appointment today which he did. He had an appointment with a doctor. Apparently the doctor told him that as the original doctor was on holiday they' didn't know what to do', but the doctor did manage to write him a prescription for sleeping tablets.

So now he can add these to the Methadone and alcohol that he is already taking why why why couldn't the doctor phone his support worker at Inclusion. Are your GPs not connected by the internet, I am sure you are, but it is far easier to pass the buck. Get real St Marys Surgery this is 2017 whether you like it or not an addict is as entitled to a fair treatment as much as anyone else.
