About: Hart Medical Practice

Absolutely shocking surgery, I believed I had a lump in my breast which has been developing over a few weeks I finally got a cancelled appointment that I had to leave work for, I was 5 minutes late due to working out of town and they refused to see me. I had to rearrange for a week later but there was no 'pre bookable' appointments for the doctors, and after being on hold for 20 minutes they even refused to let me see the nurse! Said that it had to be an infection, made me spell out what was wrong with me whilst I was on my dinner in the middle of my work canteen which was extremely embarrassing before they gave me an appointment with extreme reluctance. I thought you could go to your doctors when you're poorly? Without the interrogation? Apparently not.

The surgery has a policy whereby patients are not seen if they are more than 10 minutes late for their appointment and we ask patients to rebook. If you were 5 minutes late then despite you still being late for your appointment, you would have been seen for your appointment on that day.

The receptionist who you then spoke to was quite correct in that the none of our nurses can assess patients with breast lumps. This problem must be seen by one of the doctors.

We do have a Nurse Prescriber, however she can see and treat Minor Ailments only.

I would like the opportunity to discuss this with you further, please arrange to contact the surgery.
