"Only issuing half requested repeat prescriptions"

About: Vicarage Road Surgery

Several things have happened in the short time I have been a patient at this surgery:

1) Repeat prescriptions are hand written and I only ever request what is needed, yet only half of the medication was put through on the prescription...

2) The turn around time for repeats is 48hrs... 72 hours later and still only half of the prescription has been put through. It is now the weekend so it will of been 120hrs before I will be able to get the full prescription

And finally the most important point 3X I have called the surgery and enquired about medications that have been issued by the pharmacy as they aren't the usual and the error could be either a prescribed error or dispensing error and 3X I have been told by the receptionist "oh yeah I think that's the same that's ok" and 3x I have had to correct her that they are NOT the same drugs. This should NEVER happen as it could have fatal consequences. If they don't know the answer as fact they shouldn't be stating their non medical opinion, as one of the drugs that was issued was for a 1 year old child but wasn't suitable for a child under 6 years let alone the ramifications if a patient is allergic to a certain drug, but yet the receptionist thinks it's ok.

The Doctors themselves are excellent and very caring but these frustrations for aftercare aren't upholding the standard recieved in the consultation.
