"Still in horrific pain, nothing was done to..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

I am currently sat on my lunch break at work in tears because of how much pain I am in. I visted the breast clinic 2 weeks ago after having breast pain in my nipple since December last year. I am almost 23 (which is very young to have suspected cancer or Pagets of the nipple) but I was given an ultrasound (which came back clear). I was then sent off on my way and told I had been discharged. I wasn't given a biopsy or skin scrape, and felt as if I had been completely dismissed by the consultant I saw. Since my appointment my nipple and breast pain has gotten worse, has started crusting, itching, oozing and I am on the brink of losing my job because the pain is so bad. I am meant to be getting married in 5 months and can't function because of how bad the pain is daily. My GP has tried everything, creams, antibiotics, anti fungals and nothing has worked. I am not pregnant either. I am now awaiting a referal back to the breast clinic for a biopsy. I appreciate breast cancer is incredibly rare in someone of my age, but if I am having all of the symptoms of Pagets and have tried every eczema and antibiotic treatment for the last 3 months with no improvement what so ever (in fact my breast and nipple has gotten worse), why was I completely dismissed by the consultant and not given a biopsy weeks ago? I am very depressed because of this situation, and cry myself to sleep most nights. I get woken up in the night from the pain, and feel helpless. I'm on the brink of losing my dream job at 22 years old, because I can't focus at work and am having time off because of the pain. All because a consultant at this clinic decided not to do a biopsy on my breast. I am gutted and feel helpless.
