"A week to get a x-ray at the almost brand new..."

About: Vale Community Hospital

A week to get a x-ray at the almost brand new facility. Why ???

Just been told by GP to take child for an x-ray at the vale hospital for a minor injury to ankle.

Was told no appointments for x-rays for approx 8 days.

Why ?

This is an almost new fully equipped minor injuries facility.

And you have a week's wait to have an x-ray, that is terrible service.

Never had problems like this when Berkeley hospital was open.

Thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback for the Vale Hospital Minor Injuries & Illness Unit, but we are very sorry for the wait that you and your daughter have had regarding her X-ray.

If you would like to discuss this further with us then please do contact us in confidence on T. 0300 421 8313 or at yourexperience@glos-care.nhs.uk. In the meantime, your comments will be included in our January report for our Senior Managers and also forwarded to the MIIU Manager and our two County MIIU Matrons. Best wishes, Service Experience Team, Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust.
