"Wait time for referral"

About: Western Infirmary/Gartnavel General / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

I got referred to rheumatology 3 months ago for chronic pain that is untreated and really affecting my quality of life. I received my appointment today and it’s not for several months. That’s 5 months between getting referred and seeing the specialist. I was told it would take “up to 12 weeks”, and it’s actually been 8 weeks more than that. 8 where I am still in pain without treatment or knowledge of why I’m in pain. 5 months to wait to see a specialist? Ridiculous.
