"This unit is a credit to the hospital"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiac Catherterisation

(as a service user),

Attended for Angiogram possible Angioplasty. I must commend all staff expecially Dr McGeoch, Jennifer and Gillian for their excellent care and compassion.

I was anxious but, Dr McGeoch re-assured me and explained the procedure in detail and what might be required.

The care and compassion shown to me back in the ward by Jennifer and Gillian was outstanding.

Before discharge Dr McGeoch explained my results in a clear, consise and warm manner which I understood. (No jargon).

This unit is a credit to the hospital.

Thank you

Dear Patgr64

Thank you very much for your comments which you have put on the care opinion website, I am delighted that you have had such a positive experience and I know the team in particular the staff members you mention above will be very happy with the feedback. The teams in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory strive to ensure all their patients receive high quality care so I am reassured to hear that you felt your care was excellent and compassionate during this anxious time. Feedback like this helps to reassure the team they are achieving the ambition of providing high quality patient care.

I hope you are continuing to recover well following your procedure

Kind regards

Kirsty
