My husband's non hodgkins lymphoma returned last June. He had been in remission, he was offered chemo again to give him a better quality of life, he managed two lots but it made him poorly, and he decided he couldn't take any more. We thought he would just be referred to the GP but this is when we found out what help there is out in the community.
The hospital got in touch with Macmillan and the nurse came to see us. We were put at ease and I knew there was support out there when we needed it. The way Macmillan, the GP, the district nurses and the out of hours department all work together is amazing. My husband was 87. He put up a good fight. And a big thank you to all of you.
"Big thank you to Macmillan "
