"Oesophageal Lab Staff"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Oesophageal Lab

(as a service user),

Oesophageal Manometry and 24hr pH Study completed today.

The staff, Michelle and Gordon, are a credit to NHS Lanarkshire.
They understood that I was nervous and dealt with me in a kind and humorous manner, as they realised that was how I was coping with my nerves.  Their professionalism shone through and between these approaches helped me through what was an uncomfortable procedure.

Dear CERS

Thank you for your recent post on care opinion.

I am delighted that the staff put you at ease throught what must have been a difficult time and that they used humour as well. Our staff strive to deliver the best person centred care to all patients whilst in our care.
The staff in the Lab will be pleased that you felt this way especially when you felt nervous. Glad all went well, and I hope you continue to recover well from the procedure.

Kind Regards
Karen
