I received fantastic help from Rothesay House and particularly wanted to commend Carole, Senior Nurse, and Jaqui, Occupational Therapist, for their care and support over the last year.
I was the sole carer for my very elderly mother who I nursed over a long period. During this time I was living with her my own home was burned down by arsonists, my son and his family moved to Australia and people stopped visiting my mother. It added to the isolation, I became very withdrawn and unwell. A domiciliary visit from a psychiatrist from the Mental Health for the Elderly unit led to Carole coming to see me and referring me to Ailsa Hospital where I was on Croy Ward and then to
Rothesay House.
I have received excellent care from both Ailsa Hospital and Rothesay House and am particularly grateful to Rothesay House for their continuing care. I am now well on the way to recovery, without their help I would still be antisocial, isolated and withdrawn.
"Enormous gratitude to Rothesay House"
