"Uncaring Staff"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I attended A&E due to passing out and being unable to breathe with severe (left) chest pain via a call to 111 telling us to get seen within the hour. Me, my partner and my sister all went straight A&E where we checked in and waiting to be seen. We were left waiting for 5 hours. I am under investigation for passing out with my GP since May. I then was told I needed a blood test where I said that I have needle phobia and they said I would be ok. In the past I have always had someone with me whilst having injections and blood tests. When I was called I did as I always do and take someone with me where I was then told, I am not allowed someone with me and have to come alone. I was not given any reason but they refused to meet my views and wishes. As I know is apart of the NMC Code of Conduct that all nurses must follow - Prioritise People. The staff them proceeded to tell me I was lying about my fainting, and faking it all, and was very rude towards me, whilst I was having a mental breakdown in front of them.
