Hello... I am a very lucky lady. I have been looked after by Mr Thekkinkattil & all the very lovely staff at the breast unit at Pilgrim Hospital now for 4 years. Mr Thekkinkattil has been with me & my husband every step of the way on my very scary & stressful breast cancer journey. He is a very caring, professional & has a very nice manner & I cannot thank him enough from the bottom of my heart for all he has done for me & how he has treated me. An AMAZING man with a beautiful soul. Also all his team in theatre & anaesthetic rooms, just such lovely caring people who looked after me so well, also Bostonian ward staff everyone so caring & the lovely ladies who brought me lots of nice drinks & food.
The nurses on the breast unit have always been lovely too especially nurse Lizzie always there with a smile & making you feel at ease, she was with me at the biopsy stage when I could not stop shaking!! with fear, I will never forget that day & she was with me giving me encouragement & her care.. & along the way over the years have seen her at appointments a very efficient & lovely nurse. The lady who has always done my mammogram from the very first one on that terrifying day she is a credit to the hospital, lovely lady. The reception staff are always very lovely too. Whenever I have been to the unit I feel like I am enveloped into their care & they truly are the MOST AMAZING people ever. Pilgrim Hospital THANK YOU ... I could not have got through this journey without you. Also love the lovely little coffee shop which sells the most delightful coffee 😊.
