"Super care by the women’s health team"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

My 70 year old mum had an elective hysterectomy on New Year’s Eve. The whole process was as easy and comfortable as it could have been. The place was spotlessly clean, all staff were warm, competent and professional in spite of the ward being very busy with outliers from other wards. My mum was full of praise for all who cared for her, the nurses, the surgeon, anaesthetist, porters and catering staff! She was discharged the following day with no fuss or unnecessary waiting. As a nurse myself, I am very impressed and grateful for the care my mum has received - my mum is too! She is making an excellent recovery at home.
