"Wait for MRI results"

(as the patient),

Feeling very frustrated and anxious after having an MRI scan at the end of November, I was told it would be a 2 week wait for results, maybe sooner, however 5 weeks later I'm still waiting. I had a 6 week wait for endoscopy results which I only received after chasing up. I appreciate it's been Christmas time, but considering I've had this problem of being left in the dark before, feel I need to say how awful it is waiting, especially when you're told a time scale and it goes way over that.

Dear Poppy99,

I'm sorry to hear your frustrations. The results are always given by the person referring for the MRI unfortunately I don't have any control over that but if you want to contact me directly I can look into whether there was a delay in your examination being reported or determine why you were told it would be 2 weeks.

I spoke to the consultants secretary who managed to send me a letter last week. Thank you for getting back to me though.
