"Treatment at the Colney Centre"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Having been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer I was assigned for treatment of 20 days of Radiotherapy. I found at every level from the Oncologist down I was treated with the utmost respect without being patronised. I discovered the treatment had side effects which were clearly explained to me and shown why the explanation was necessary. Although the treatment was painless the side effects involved discussion in detail of one's bodily functions!

This was handled in my view in a very professional manner.

As can be imagined the mere fact of the cancer being present is a worry but again the environment in all areas was one of a relaxed style. It even includes a hand bell to be rung when the treatment is completed!

Thank you to all the Radiography staff for making a bad situation acceptable in the nicest way.

Early indications are that the treatment has been successful.

Thanks again and a Happy New Year to you all.
