Been into DRI twice this year, firstly in March for vascular surgery, secondly for Angiogram in August. Both occasions consultants, anaesthists, excellent worked professionally, kept you informed, felt very safe in their care.
Afterwards, nursing staff hardly seen, duty of care poor, tended to hang around talking more than caring for patients. Had to ask for commodes, had to ask them to check my blood pressure, when they were told to monitor me through the night, no one checked my drip. Couldn't wait to get out the next day.
After angiogram, nurse kept forgetting to check 15 minute interval for blood pressure, and bleeding, as she was looking through someones holiday photos, so she did it twice within 2 minutes to cover her tracks. Professional or what?
