My husband who is 70yrs was brought in Saturday the 15th feeling very unwell, by the ambulance service (who were fantastic). My husband who is diabetics 2, also in a lot med because of his health. Sat and waiting for the doctor to come. The A/E was cold and after 4 hours they sent him home, he had no transport, asked the doctor if they could help, all he got was "NO". So my husband had to walk to the train station in that rain and it was freezing cold.
What is happening to the NHS. I worked and so did my husband work for the NHS, we were both nurses in different fields and I worked in the A/E and we always made sure the elderly were looked after and got home okay. What would have happened if my husband collapsed again who would be at fault????.
