"Phoning my GP practice"

About: Hailsham Health Centre

(as a service user),

Phoning vicarage fields health centre is a very disappointing experience and feels like a waste of time.  You have to go through a very long winded series of instructions about which option button you need to press.  You are asked to provide information about the symptoms so they can categorise you, and then the receptionists say "I don't know I have no medical knowledge"; so that's a waste of time.

They recommend you go somewhere else at least twice (Eastbourne Station or hospital).  Last resort is to phone the next day at 8am as they have no pre-bookable appointments left for the week (when it's only Monday).  Lastly it is all said in a delighted way, no regrets for being unable to help you whatsoever.

How does it make you feel - concerned at the apparent indifference and delight at being unhelpful and wanting to push you off somewhere else because they don't seem bothered.
