My Dad lives in sheltered housing accommodation and this story begins today when he had a fall in his flat which resulted in a deep cut to his arm. This triggered a visit from SAS staff who decided my Dad needed seen at the Emergency Department. Although I didn't witness their care my Dad said they were 'first class'! I met my Dad at the hospital and from the minute he entered the hospital each member of staff were so caring and treated my Dad with dignity and respect. He received a thorough examination, observations were taken, heart tracing and wound care, but most of all he received care and kindness. He is now home after his experience for which we are all extremely grateful. I am so proud of our wonderful service - thank you to Nurse Gill, Dr James, Dr Chris and the HCSW and student nurses!
