"my right foot"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Trauma and Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

This is an update to my previous experience (54032) of Raigmore Hospital.

Had operation to right foot recently .

Have just been back and had dressing changed, dissolving stitches looking good, also x rays of foot taken. Everything doing well.

Can only say how brilliant all the staff have been.

Seems a long time 2 years of constant pain and yes its a little sore just now but at least I know that will improve as am only going into 3rd week after operation.

I'm glad I had the courage and sense to ask my GP for a second opinion or who knows how things would have turned out. Big thank you Lothian Health Board.

Many thanks for your kind words regarding your care. I will pass this on to the staff involved who will be very pleased to receive praise.

I am very glad that your care has been so successful and hope that you continue to be in good health and your foot gives you no more cause for concern

Regards

NHS Lothian

Dear footpain2

This is good to hear and I do hope you are pain free. I am sorry that Raigmore was not able to resolve this matter. Thank you to colleagues in Lothian. If there is anything you would like to feed-back that NHS Highland can learn from then I would be very pleased to listen. You can call me on 01463 70 4722 or via e-mail maimie.thompson@nhs.net

Update posted by footpain2 (the patient)

I have sent to maimie thompson an e-mail with a full account of what actually took place, as my first story ( 54032 ) was a very brief short description of events and procedures that occurred during the visits to Raigmore about my foot, and I decided that a private e-mail would be more appropriate on this occasion.
