"Poor quality rude consultants"

About: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore)

I went to this hospital with high hopes only to find my consultant rude and uncaring. I have had foot surgery on the NHS before and was sent to this hospital to give me hope of a solution to my problems which the NHS made worse.. All I found was a short doctor who showed no compassion. He blatantly didn’t care about me or my future. He didn’t introduce himself to me and people kept walking into the room disturbing my time. It was 15 minutes but felt like 2 mins of someone who wasn’t real listening to me and kept blaming me for having surgery in the first place, when I trusted the NHS. II really think the generation of doctors who think they are self important should be over but at the RNOH they seem to talk up their experts but what good are experts if they don’t respect patients.

We are very sorry to hear that you have not had a great experience at the RNOH. These are not the standards we expect from our staff. We have a Patient Advice and Liaison team within the Trust which you may find helpful. If you haven’t already, please consider contacting them on 020 8909 5430 or via email: rnoh.pals@nhs.net so that you may discuss your experience and options further. Again, thank you for contacting us. China - Communications team.
