"EPEC and Being A Parent course"

About: Ollerton & Boughton Children's Centre

(as a volunteer/advocate),

I attended a 10 week course to be trained to become a Parent Group Leader to deliver the Being A Parent course at Ollerton Children's Centre. This course was amazing. I really enjoyed it and found out so helpful for me as a mum and as a person. The staff and facilitators were brilliant and I felt valued as a participant all the way through. I've learnt things which will help me in my life and as a mother. I think every parent should do the Being A Parent course, as it is so insightful.

Hi Icicle

Many thanks for taking the time to share your story

I'm so glad you found the course so helpful for both you as a mum but also you as a person. Children can be challenging at times and it's possibly the hardest job in the world, so it's vital that you take the time to look after you.

It sounds like the course helped trigger some lightbulb moments for you and I hope you can now spread these messages to a wider audience utlising the new skills you have.

You will make a real difference to your local community

Thanks again

Thank you so much for your post.

I'm so glad that I was able to accommodate you in the centre. It was great listening to you all having fun and hearing your own personal stories of being a parent.

You have shown commitment in undertaking 60 hours of training and I look forward to seeing delivery of the Being a Parent group in the centre early next year.
