GP referred to ARAU taken there Dr was superb, then ward 20 then once better to ward 54 for severe asthma. Really cannot fault the staff at all. Very difficult admission for me despite many previous admissions for asthma. All staff were kind and caring, spending time to speak to me particularly when upset reliving ICU once back on the ward. Occasionally bank staff nurses would not be as understanding about asthma and not give you the time to get your words out due to breathlessness but would guess, getting it wrong then they get frustrated as got it wrong- meaning a small job takes a lot longer if they only listened.
Only slight negative and nothing to do with the care is the food. Having severe food allergies the menu does not say everything that is in each dish, you can write on the menu alternatives but never really told what alternatives there are so end up eating a lot of cheese sandwiches. Also there seems to be a shortage of milk on the wards.
