"AAU, Ward 51, Ward 21"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Medicine (Wards 3, 4, 5 &46)

(as a service user),

I recently got admitted to GRI after a consultation with my GP via AAU.

The staff in AAU were excellent all professional polite and helpful. From there I was transferred to Ward51. This place is an eye opener! Staff were atrocious the Charge Nurse in particular. I accept it is a busy transient ward constantly busy but the attitude leaves a lot be desired.

Transferred again to Ward21. An old ward but the staff from the domestic assistant to the Consultant were fantastic. Staff from 21 understand the meaning of respect and patient care.

Dear Park 725.

Thank you for your post.

I am sorry to hear about your emergency admission to hospital.

I am pleased to read about the staff you encountered in the AAU and Ward 21. Although I am sorry that this was not your experience in Ward 51.

I will pass your feedback on to the Head of this service and the teams involved as it is important that we learn from our feedback (the good and the bad), to help us improve our services.

I hope you are recovering well.

Best wishes

Nicole
