About: Basildon University Hospital / Maternity

The parking facilities for this hospital are completely inadequate. The barriers to the multi-story car park seem to let too many cars in and on more than one occasion, I've spent in excess of 20 minutes driving around the car park searching for a non-existent space.

The other much smaller car park for the cardiothoracic centre is no better.

On the most recent occasion (27/11/18), the inadequate parking facilities resulted in me missing my wife's 20 week pregnancy scan as I had to drop her off at the hospital and go and park in the town centre. By the time I had done this and walked back to the hospital (which took around 30 minutes), I had missed the appointment.
