"Bristol breast care centre, outpatient"

About: Southmead Hospital

Bristol breast care centre is a one stop outpatient clinic based at Southmead Hospital. I was seen there within 2 weeks after my G.P. referral.

The place is bright, clean and spacious, keeping patients in the waiting room with up to date information on screen.

I was feeling a bit anxious though my husband went with me; nonetheless, my consultant put me at ease, explaining how everything is tailored to aid accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment if needed.

He led a good team, though the clinic was clearly busy, it appeared to be well organised with good communication between the teams, indicating a warm team spirit.

Such a successful model must require tremendous effort, I am much encouraged by what I encountered today, my faith in NHS definitely boosted. I am very appreciative of the help I received, and I highly recommend this clinic.

Lin Robson.
