My husband, nearly 89, was recently in hospital where they could see that he had a continence problem, they asked how we managed with this at home and I explained we bought pads for him. The hospital put us in touch with the South Petherton Continence Service as we would be able to get pads etc for free. South Petherton have sent us a very lengthy questionnaire asking for details on fluid intake, how often he needs to go to the toilet - all sorts of stuff. He has also to then go for an appointment. It is totally ridiculous that we have to go through all this, my husband is 89, recently hospitalised but the process takes no account of physical ability to be able to get to appointments etc. Can't allowances be made? I shall just carry on buying the pads regardless of cost rather than put my husband through the form filling and demanding travel to appointments.
