"They have recognised my potential and helped me"

About: South Yorkshire Housing Association Limited / Take Notice

(as a service user),

I have been working with South Yorkshire Housing Association SYHA Take Notice for about a year now and they are an excellent service for providing mental health support in the community.

I have a good relationship with my support worker and the wider team. Everyone I have encountered has been professional and supportive. I was nervous at first when my care changed from NHS community recovery services to SYHA Take Notice as it was unknown but a year down the line I can appreciate that the chance has been good for me. They have recognised my potential and helped me achieve personal goals invested time effort and resources into helping me recover from illness. When I had a relapse a few months ago they supported me through it helping me to avoid an admission to Psychiatric hospital care and helping me to get the right care for me at that time which was Home Treatment.

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate it can affect anyone and everyone has mental health but not everyone suffers with mental illness. There is stigma but talking help and there is support available to help. Take Notice has been helpful.
